Biratnagar is located in Morang district, lies 400 KM to the East of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu and 6 KM to the North of the Jogbani border of India. It is the second most densely populated city after Kathmandu and the fourth most populous city of Nepal. Biratnagar Jute Mill
Biratnagar Jute Mill is the oldest and the largest jute mill in the country. The jute mill was established under the Prime minister Juddha Shamsher in 1936. It is also the first registered industry in the country and is an impressive example of an industrial complex.

Transportation in Biratnagar
Biratnagar airport, which is owned and operated by the Government of Nepal commenced its operation on 6th of July, 1958. The elevation of the airport is at 72 m (236 ft.) above the sea level. The airport has one runway designated 09/27 with an asphalt surface measuring 1505*30 m (4,938 * 98 ft).
