Kanchenjunga Trek

The Kunchanjunga massif forms Nepal’s eastern border with the Indian state of Sikkim. As a restricted area, only authorized groups are allowed into this region. A magnificent trek takes us through hill terraces, forests of fir, bamboo and rhododendron and an abundance of small waterfalls. The flora includes 5 types of rhododendrons and 2 types of magnolia. A remote trip along the Tamur River Valley, where villages are few and wild-life includes Musk-deer, langur monkey, blue sheep and the ever elucive snow leopard. The Mamemrgier, a bird with a 9 ft wingspan may be seen high up on the snow ridges. Kanchanjunga has three 8000m peaks and eleven above 7000m. A stunning trek for even the most hardened trekker.
