Nepalgunj (also commonly spelled as Nepalganj) is a popular, developed and trading city in Banke district, Nepal that is west to Kathmandu (the capital city of Nepal). It is located in the Terai Plains and borders with India (Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh (UP) state in the southern part.
It is one of the popular custom hubs of Nepal. Eklaini, Sadarline, BP Chowk, Tribhuvan Chowk, Dhamboji chowk, Gharbari Tole, New Road, Birendra Chowk are some of the major marketplaces in Nepalgunj city center. And Rupaidiha, which is a town in India bordering with Nepalgunj to the south, is a famous shopping area for the people because of availability of many things within that area and also because of the cheaper price.
Amongst many touristic attractions in Nepalgunj, some of them are Bageshwori temple (renowned for Hindu Devotees), Bageshwori Park, Rani Pokhari and mini zoo.
